Emmanuel S. Llamas
Mr. Llamas is an attorney at the Law Office of Emmanuel S Llamas. His family (Vera) migrated to Aurora, IL during the 1910 Mexican Revolution to escape political violence, becoming one of the first Mexican families to settle in Aurora and later opening the first Mexican grocery store in the city. With these strong local roots, Mr. Llamas is committed to serving the legal needs of local businesses and families in Aurora and the surrounding communities, including Spanish-speakers. He understands that legal matters can be intimidating or overwhelming, and that is why he pays special attention to explaining the legal process to clients and maintaining strong client-communication, including providing timely case updates and responses. Mr. Llamas is a proud graduate of East Aurora High School’s Class of 2005. He regularly speaks to elementary school and high school classrooms about the importance of education as a means of overcoming adversity and mentors younger students in the Boys II Men mentoring organization. In 2019, Mr. Llamas was elected to the Aurora City Council as Alderman of the 1st Ward. At the time, he was the youngest alderman elected in the Council’s history and the first Latino Alderman in Ward 1. Mr. Llamas served on the council for 5 years before stepping down to focus on his family and law practice.
